The idea for BeastyBites started after talking to my little cousin, who told me that one of his biggest frustrations was not being allowed to bring toys to school. This made me think about how I could “cheat the system” by turning something he was already allowed to bring to school into something playful.
From this idea, I developed a packaging concept for dehydrated fruit snacks that could become the toy itself. The boxes can be taken apart, mixed, and rebuilt into different characters, allowing children to play and collect them while still functioning as packaging for a healthy fruit snack.
Bold colours, hand-drawn characters, and a modular structure create a playful experience, while sustainable materials keep the packaging environmentally conscious.
